From a private collection of interesting Robot cameras is offered a very rare hardly seen Robot 18 Star 50 ED Schneider-Kreuznach 38mm f2.8 lens. This is a very rare half format example of the Robot Star for the German Police (ED = ErkennungsDienst). 18x24 on 35mm film, filmcounter to 72, built-in finder for 75mm half frame. Camera comes with a matching Schneider-Kreuznach 38mm f2.8 Xenar lens (serial number 12803761). According to Hans Grahner approx. only 50 cameras were made.
Camera is in very nice condition. Some small signs of use. No dings or dents. Speeding times are accurate. Lens elements are clean. No haze, fog, scratches or cleaning marks. Rare and very interesting camera.
